Full Description

Depart from Cairns aboard the Passions of Paradise catamaran for a full-day journey to two Outer Great Barrier Reef locations. The experienced crew selects the most suitable reef sites each day based on weather and sea conditions.

Snorkelling equipment and tuition are provided, making the experience suitable for both confident snorkellers and guests trying it for the first time. Guests can explore with a buddy or join the complimentary guided snorkel tour to learn more about the coral and marine life.

Between reef activities, relax in the indoor or outdoor areas of the catamaran and enjoy morning tea, a freshly prepared hot and cold tropical buffet lunch, and afternoon tea. During the return journey, an eco-accredited marine naturalist provides an informative presentation about the Great Barrier Reef and its ecosystem.

Optional introductory and certified scuba diving experiences may be available at an additional cost and are subject to availability and medical requirements.

Not Suitable For

Optional scuba diving is subject to Queensland medical requirements. Certain medical conditions or prescription medications may prevent participation. Guests participating in water activities must complete the required medical questionnaire.

Meeting Point

Check in at the Passions of Paradise counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal at 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Check-in is available from 7:00 am, boarding begins at approximately 7:30 am, and the catamaran departs at 8:00 am. The tour generally returns to Cairns between 4:45 pm and 5:00 pm, depending on weather and operational conditions.

Important Information

Reef locations are selected each day according to weather and sea conditions. Although the tour generally visits two locations, operational or safety conditions may require the itinerary to change or only one location to be visited. Sailing is weather dependent. Optional diving should be arranged in advance where possible and remains subject to availability and medical clearance. Return transfers from Cairns City and the Northern Beaches may be available for an additional charge and are not included in the standard tour price.
