Welcome to Lakeside Tinaroo, where the lake is quite literally at your doorstep, offering an unforgettable retreat for those seeking relaxation, adventure, or both. We have carefully designed this space to ensure absolute comfort for all ages, making it perfect for families, groups, and nature lovers alike.

Situated on a spacious 1,000m² block, this property boasts direct lake access with a private pontoon, ensuring complete privacy with no public access. Moor your boat, fish from the dock, or simply gaze at the breathtaking night sky. The water’s edge is perfect for a picnic, or set up a slip-and-slide on the grass for endless fun. For those eager to explore, we provide stand-up paddleboards and canoes at no extra cost, allowing you to make the most of your lakefront escape.

The deck is our personal favorite, offering spectacular views of Tinaburra and Lake Tinaroo. The spacious open-plan living area is perfect for entertaining, featuring a cosy fireplace with firewood supplied, a bar, and comfortable seating. The separate outdoor BBQ area adds to the charm, making it ideal for alfresco dining while enjoying the fresh lakeside breeze.

This home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. Each bedroom is fully air-conditioned for your comfort. The large bedroom on the left side of the house also has a ceiling fan, while the others are equipped with pedestal fans. The “Jungle Room” is designed for kids but features high-quality beds suitable for any guest. It includes a single bed and a triple bunk with a king single on top and a queen below. A proper baby cot and high chair are available, and a bed guard can be provided upon request.

Entertainment is covered with a variety of games, coloring books, and children’s storybooks. The TV is connected to Disney+ and Netflix, ensuring plenty of options for movie nights or downtime indoors.

There is ample parking space at the front of the house, although the double garage remains locked. Guests have full access to the property and its amenities, with complete privacy. However, we are always available via phone and can come down if needed.

Lake Tinaroo is renowned for wakeboarding, skiing, fishing, and an array of water sports. The picturesque village of Yungaburra, just five minutes away, is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes shaped by extinct volcanoes. This region is home to stunning natural attractions, including crater lakes, waterfalls, and World Heritage-listed rainforests. The famous Curtain Fig Tree and pristine swimming lakes are just a short drive away.

Please Note: Boats and jet skis must be launched at the “Tinaburra Drive Boat Ramp”. Launching from the private pontoon is not permitted.

The area enjoys a mild, pleasant climate year-round. Summers are cooler than the coast, while winter nights are refreshingly crisp, perfect for enjoying the warmth of the indoor fireplace. Mountain biking enthusiasts will love the nearby trails, with single and dual-suspension bikes available for hire. Wildlife lovers will have near-guaranteed sightings of tree kangaroos and platypuses, especially in the early morning or late afternoon when taking the canoes out on the lake.

A car is the most convenient way to explore the region, with Yungaburra just five minutes away. Once you arrive, you may find little reason to leave! The local FoodWorks is open daily until 8 PM, ensuring easy access to essentials. Travel around the lake is also possible by boat, Jet Ski, canoe, or paddleboard. If water levels are low, the public boat ramp is just five minutes away.

As Lake Tinaroo is an irrigation lake, water levels fluctuate throughout the year, usually dropping before the wet season replenishes them. When levels are above 53%, lake access is directly from the house. If below 55%, we recommend launching boats from the public ramp, but you can still enjoy the canoes and SUPs.

Your hosts are Cairns locals with extensive experience in the tourism industry. As owners of a certified ECO Lodge in Yungaburra and passionate outdoor adventurers, we are happy to share our knowledge of the best local spots and hidden gems to make your stay truly unforgettable.
