Full Description
Fitzroy Island is a rainforest-covered national park fringed by coral reef and beaches. After the ferry journey from Cairns, the day is yours to explore Welcome Bay, walk to Nudey Beach, snorkel from the shore or follow one of the island’s walking tracks.
The Best of Island package includes return ferry transfers, full-day snorkelling equipment, a glass-bottom boat tour and an individual picnic lunchbox. Self-guided nature walks are free, while other island activities, beverages and purchases cost extra.
Sunlover operates early and standard morning departures — both options are available, so choose whichever suits your day best. The selected departure and check-in window must be confirmed from the booking because the amount of island time differs.

Bring the booking confirmation and arrive within the check-in window for the selected ferry. Both the early (8:45 am) and standard (10:15 am) departures are available — the early option gives you the most time on the island. The return ferry is scheduled to leave Fitzroy Island at 3:30 pm. Seasonal or operational changes may apply, so reconfirm the schedule before travel.
