Here, life slows down—go barefoot, trade the car for a bike, and pick up fresh seafood for a sunset barbecue on the beach. You can hire a kayak and paddle straight off the shore or join a tour to nearby Double Island. The Palm Cove jetty is also a fisherman’s dream, with plenty of Spanish mackerel, cod, whiting, stripeys, and flathead ready to be caught.
